Hotspur is made from wooden parts I found in Hotspur Mill in Manchester. This mill was the place where the Hotspur and Beano comics were printed during its long history. The parts were probably from the start of printing, when the mill was water powered. I love the workmanship that went into the creation of these bits and I decided to leave them in their found state. He looks a bit grubby but I think that just adds to his charm! He stands at 55cm tall
