I actually built this fella for my house but I've got a mortgage to pay so I'm regrettably putting him up for adoption. I wanted a way of getting my kids to come downstairs for dinner without shouting my head off so I needed some kind of bell or gong. I found this old telephone ringer box at a car boot and realised it was the perfect solution. As my kids are 7 and 3 I wanted to make then something super-cute and I (hopefully) nailed it. He plugs Ito the mains via a 12v transformer and the bell (activated by a button on his front) is loud enough to be heard upstairs. I used weights as his feet so he's heavy enough to not topple when the button is pressed. He stands at 72cm tall.
